Our Learning Environment

Caritas is situated on a large campus, and features play and recreation facilities built into natural and developed landscaping, enabling creative and flexible use of spaces for learning, play, prayer, theatre/drama, sharing and social interactions.

The school provides contemporary teaching and learning spaces that are suited to the respective junior, middle and senior year levels. Innovative design enables fliexible use of learning spaces and indoor/outdoor learning opportunities. Early Years Learning currently takes place at an adjacent property for children aged birth to 5 years at MacKillop Learning Centre through the Learn Through Play playgroup.

Teaching and learning spaces are climate controlled and well equipped with interactive technology and portable devices. In addition to contemporary general learning areas, specialist facilities accessed by students across R-12 include resource centre, Science laboratories, Technology laboratories, Trade Training Centre, Hospitality centre, Technology Studies workshop, and primary and secondary Music rooms. A newly developed learning centre, Visual Arts Centre, and administration and staff amenities were officially opened in 2017 as part of our recent $5.5M development. Caritas has commenced work on development of a Nature Play and Learning space as part of the College’s strategic improvement plan.
