Parent Information Evening

20.01.21

The purpose of this event is to provide a smooth transition from year to year and to foster a positive relationship between home and school. We will be holding this event under COVID-safe restrictions and asking only one parent to attend to support us in ensuring appropriate physical distancing.

In order to meet COVID-19 safety requirements, all attendees (not including current students) must register by completing a quick online registration form. Please complete the below information Wednesday 27th January. If you are unable to complete prior to the event, you will be required to present to a 'registration station' on the day. Please use pedestrian Gate 2 on Woodforde Street or Gate 8 on Shirley Street and present to a 'registration station' to be checked off. COVID Marshals will be onsite for guidance and assistance. Considering the current COVID-19 pandemic we ask you to please comply with the following additional arrival induction requirements. In attending our site, and signing in, you warrant that:

  1. You are currently well and not suffering from any flu like or cold symptoms (coughing, runny nose, sneezing, high temperature, sore throat etc).
  1. You have not entered the State of South Australia from interstate or overseas without strictly adhering to any relevant quarantine or self-isolation requirements.
  1. You have not knowingly been in close contact with a known COVID-19 case in the past 14 days. Please note, hand sanitiser will be available at various places in this location. Thank you sincerely for assisting us to support the health and safety of all.

The evening has been structured to give families the flexibility to attend one or more sessions if needed. Children are able to come along and play under St Mary’s Shelter while the information sessions are happening if required.

We know that a dynamic partnership must exist between home and school over many years to support and nurture a student through their schooling to become the best they can be. Therefore, I encourage all families to be involved and participate in this event. Teachers will be sharing some insights into their teaching practice and providing parents/caregivers with an opportunity to ask questions.

Please see the outline for the Parent Information Night below. I look forward to seeing lots of families attend. If you have any questions or queries about this event please contact the front office.
