Information Technology is at the heart of education in the 21st century.
We foster an environment which values the ethical use of technology and use ICT to nurture a love of learning.
The use of ICT across all learning areas from Reception to Year 12 is an integral part of the teaching and learning program. Students at Caritas College have extensive access to technology at school.
All ICT services at Caritas College are supported by the ICT Policy (see below).
At Caritas College we are committed to providing an excellent Catholic education in the Josephite tradition to enable students to reach their full potential. We understand and value the role of information technology (IT) in 21st century learning, and endeavour to use it to inspire a love of learning. Therefore, we are pleased to communicate to families that in 2020 we will be commencing a 1:1 Laptop Program for all students in Years 7-12.
All laptops will be owned, managed and maintained by the College to ensure a consistent and equitable learning platform for the 7-12 students. Students will be able to use them between home and school for their learning. Each student will be responsible for their own laptop, and will need to adhere to a user agreement that provides clear information about their rights and responsibilities of having a school owned device.
