COVID-19 Update

Opportunities to be involved

We value the involvement of our parents and families.

There are a number of ways you can get involved in the life of your child's College by:

  • joining the Parents And Friends group
  • assisting with listening to children reading
  • attending school celebrations
  • offering your time working at the school canteen
  • attending school excursions
  • attending the school AGM
  • nominating for Board

The purpose of the Parents and Friends group is to:

  • participate in consultation and provide input into the school community
  • undertake activities that contribute to the school community and enhance community spirit
  • liaise and co-operate with other groups (eg the School Board)
  • host parent education and information evenings
  • promote parental involvement in education at Caritas College and as part of Catholic Education SA

The Parents and Friends group is affiliated with the Federation of Catholic School Parent Communities

In consideration of the demands placed on families, a core committee meet once per term and we encourage interested people to nominate for the committee to assist in co-ordinating our ‘Pop Up Parents and Friends’ activities.

Pop Up Parents and Friends

We invite support from families to assist with our ‘Pop Up Parents and Friends’ activities such as Mothers Day stall, Fathers Day stall, Sports Day stall, baking for fundraisers or catering activities, etc.

In addition, we always welcome parent feedback and support, and thank families for your ongoing commitment and contribution to our school community where parent-student-school partnerships are highly valued.

Volunteers and Police Checks

Volunteers at Caritas College must obtain a Department of Human Services Working with Children clearance through the Catholic Police Check Unit and complete an induction process.

This process is mandatory as part of the College and SACCS Child Protection Policy.  The application for the clearance is facilitated through the School and is free of charge.

If you’d like to get involved with the College community, please don’t hesitate to contact WHS Coordinator on 8648 9700 or by completing your details below. We’d love to hear from you.
